Craniosacral Therapy

Born from a long, rich exploration into osteopathy and the movement of the bones of the skull, craniosacral therapy offers a unique perspective on vitality, motility, and the potential of the body. I have studied both Biomechanical Craniosacral Therapy in the lineage of John Upledger, Hugh Milne and various other Osteopaths, as well as Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy under Margaret Rosenau. Using a light, sensing, touch, I invite awareness into the body and a safe space for it to find ease and fluidity. Great for headaches, migraines and TMJ disorders. I have also seen this work be helpful for folks with PTSD, chronic pain, intestinal distress, symptoms of fatigue, overwhelm, anxiety, and so much more. As an easy, gentle body of work, it is safe for almost everyone. In recent years its popularity has gained traction around families with new babies, highly sensitive people, and some in neurodiverse populations. In a session we will take into account what it is you have come in for and follow what Rollin Becker dubbed “The inherent treatment plan” and my teacher called “The inherent healing process”. Which is a session where the tides of your body lead the way to find where movement has been limited and we work together, letting the Breath of Life fill in and potency take over.

Lymphatic Drainage

The Lymphatic system is a sister to your cardiovascular system. Everywhere you have blood flow you have lymphatic vessels, hanging out, waiting to pick up whatever is too big for your veins to take back to the heart. Swelling is an inherent aspect of healing and a necessary part of the process. Sometimes however, the body needs a hand, either knowing when to stop the swelling or getting the fluid out of where it is stagnating. I studied Complete Decongestive Therapies (CDT) with the Academy of Lymphatic Studies (ACOLS) as well as Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) with various teachers and mentors over the years. In a lymphatic session we use light, targeted techniques to help move excess fluid where it needs to go to then leave your body, taking built up metabolic waste with it. Metabolic waste is a major factor in many pain related symptoms. Working with and stimulating the lymphatic system also gives a boost to our immune system and the healing processes throughout our entire body. As an added bonus the light touch of this practice is very soothing to the nervous system and can bring about deep states of rest, relaxation and reset needed when dealing with todays world.

Scar Tissue Work

This work takes the intentional presence and patience of craniosacral therapy, with the gentle, nervous system soothing motions of lymphatic drainage and adds the intentions organization and engagement of the facial matrix within scar tissue. I’ve trained in Alastair McLoughlin’s MSTR and Sharon Wheeler’s ScarWork. With various other scar practices incorporated, we will spend time finding balance in areas with scars or scar tissue. This will can help with the size, color, appearance and nerve sensations typically associated with scars. On an internal systems level it can also help to find more strength, mobility and possibility in joints or scarred areas of the body. For the best results continued sessions is recommended.

30 min — 1~ $60 / 6- $300

Add 15 minutes of scar tissue work to any session for $20

Massage & Bodywork

These days it seems the word massage is self explanatory. Its a session meeting the body using long broad strokes and targeted techniques to help the muscles and tissues of the body find more ease and comfort. These sessions tend to be more general in nature but can still have goals and areas of focus. I like to find the pressure and speed that feels most affective for the tissue in that moment. I have found meeting tissue where it’s at and not trying to express dominion over, forcing my expectations of how it should react, produce the most fruitful sessions. While this listening based, intuitive approach is what I’ve found best in massage. I also really enjoy clinical, specific sessions. These tend to be area focused using intentional fascial techniques, again opening up the body to its own potential for movement.

60 min — 1~ $110 / 6- $550

75 min — 1~ $135 / 6~ $675
